The No. 1 Wealth God Temple
The No. 1 Wealth God Temple in the world is located atop Beigao Peak in the West Lake Scenic Area of Hangzhou, within the Ling Shun Temple. Also known as Huaguang Temple, Ling Shun Temple was established during the Xianhe period of the Eastern Jin Dynasty (326 AD) and is one of the oldest renowned temples in Hangzhou. The temple was founded by the Indian monk Huiri, and during the Northern Song Dynasty, it became known as the "Wealth God Temple" due to the worship of the "Five Manifested Wealth Gods." In the Ming Dynasty, it was also called "Huaguang Temple" after a hall was dedicated to Huaguang. Ling Shun Temple is regarded as a place that brings good fortune and wealth due to its offerings to the Wealth God and the tradition of incense burning and prayer. It is a significant site in Hangzhou for making wishes and seeking blessings. Key structures within the temple include the memorial archway, the Mountain Gate Hall, the Civil Wealth God Hall, the Martial Wealth God Hall, and the Mahavira Hall.
